Tom Stanier is a Teesdale based photographer working mainly with Landscape, Comedy and Stage Arts photography. Born and raised in the North East of England, He runs a small photography business alongside his day job as an IT Technician. Photography was a natural progression through an upbringing around cameras and the outdoors, and he has been on a PENTAX journey since the start of his short career.

Tom’s first DSLR was a borrowed K10D which sparked his love of taking images. Over the past 3 years, he has progressed through the PENTAX range of cameras beginning with the entry-level K-x and now uses the Flagship K-3 and a K-5ii as his second body.

Currently, Tom is working as the in-house photographer for the Funny Way to Be Comedy Club, and is making a name for himself in the comedy scene. He has worked alongside a number of famous comedians including Russell Howard, Jenny Eclair and Pete Firman, with many of his live comedy photographs being featured in the national press and various other comedy blogs.
